YES THERE IS!

She looks at me and wails,

“There is no God!”

My mind whirls…

I touch Him by leaning into the wind.

Absorb the warmth of His caress

through the rays of the sun.

Bathe in the soothing waters

of His rain shower.

See the splendor of His cloak in the tapestry

of May’s flowers and October’s foliage.

Taste His joy in the sweet nourishing

nectars of the peach and watermelon.

Smell His cologne in the fragrances

of the lilac and honeysuckle.

Hear His lyric voice and comforting

message in the chatter of the bubbling brook.

I retort,

“YES, THERE IS!”
